Atlassian moves its AI-native SDLC into production with Code Context and Record for Agent betas and DX AI Measurement GA

What changed
Atlassian announced a set of AI-native software-delivery updates at Team '26 Europe on October 7. Code Context is rolling out in open beta to connect cross-repository code understanding with Jira, Confluence, Loom, Slack and Google Drive context. Record for Agent is also in open beta, turning narrated Loom recordings into structured plans that coding agents can execute. Jira now supports Cognition Devin, Factory and Warp, with OpenAI Codex listed as coming soon. DX AI Measurement is generally available, linking AI usage to throughput, quality, adoption, friction and ROI while scoring individual agent sessions. Planner, agent loops and AI Review remain in private early access, while Agent Sessions and Loom Interactive PR Reviews remain closed EAP.
