Namespace raises a $42M Series B to build isolated devboxes, build/test infrastructure and compute for AI coding agents

What changed
Scale Venture Partners announced on October 6 that it led Namespace's $42 million Series B. Namespace positions itself as development infrastructure for the agentic software-engineering era: developers and coding agents receive fast-starting isolated devboxes that can retain useful state, while builds, tests and CI run on Namespace-operated infrastructure. Reporting from October 5 also listed participants including 20VC, NEA, Essence and Burst Capital. The company plans to use the funding for product development and expansion of its compute and server footprint.
