What changed

Atlassian and OpenAI expanded their partnership on October 6. Under the new agreement, GPT-6-family frontier models will power agents across Atlassian's platform and Rovo, which combines OpenAI models with Atlassian's Teamwork Graph for context spanning people, projects, documents and decisions. OpenAI says more than 3,000 Atlassian developers already use Codex across terminals, IDEs and code-review workflows. The agreement also expands Atlassian's access to GPT-6 Astra and the GPT-5.6 series and deepens Teamwork Graph integrations for Jira, Confluence and related work context.
