OpenAI launches dots, always-on agents with their own cloud computers for ongoing work

What changed

OpenAI added dots to the GPT-6 Astra system card on September 29 and began rolling out these always-on agents. Each dot has its own cloud computer and browser, can use user-authorized connected tools, handle recurring work, and follow up through ChatGPT, text message, email or Slack. OpenAI's help documentation says rollout starts with Pro users and remains subject to regional and workspace controls.
