Kodiak says its long-haul driverless safety-case readiness reached 96% while targeting unsupervised commercial service by year-end

What changed
Kodiak AI reported on October 6 that its company-defined Autonomy Readiness Measure (ARM) for long-haul driverless operations had reached 96% at the end of September, up from 93% in August, while it continues targeting unsupervised commercial long-haul service by the end of 2026. ARM measures the share of claims and evidence in Kodiak's highway launch safety case that are materially complete; it is not a vehicle safety rate, success rate or accident rate. Kodiak says remaining work includes probabilistic risk assessment, launch-vehicle configuration verification and demonstrating safety at highway speeds. In its industrial deployment, 35 Atlas Energy Solutions-owned trucks were already operating without people in the cab as of the end of Q2.
