NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS starts Trusted Data Fabric for governed AI agents, agent identity controls and sovereign data access

What changed

NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS launched its Trusted Data Fabric initiative on October 7, aiming to let AI agents and data collaborate across organizational boundaries while each organization retains control of its data. The architecture spans Trusted AI, Trusted Identity and Trusted Data Access: planned controls include judging agent actions immediately before execution, blocking unsafe actions, agent authentication and authorization, audit trails, and data-use methods that avoid moving sensitive data outside controlled environments. NTT plans Action Guardrails and AI-agent extensions to SmartLiTA during fiscal 2026 while expanding into finance, healthcare, manufacturing, public-sector and infrastructure use cases. This is an architecture and roadmap announcement; not every described capability became generally available on October 7.
