Teladoc adds SoloVitals and SoloScribe to Solo for contactless camera-based vital signs and ambient clinical documentation

What changed

Teladoc Health added two AI capabilities to its Solo hospital platform on October 7. SoloVitals uses a phone or tablet camera and remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) to estimate heart and respiration rates without physical contact. SoloScribe is an ambient documentation tool that creates structured clinical notes during virtual visits and transfers templated summaries into the EHR. SoloScribe is generally available now; SoloVitals is in private preview for selected customers with general availability expected in December 2026. Teladoc says Solo is installed in more than 15,000 care locations and integrates with EHRs such as Epic and Oracle Health through HL7 and FHIR.
