Stacklet launches Token Custodian to attribute every AI token and enforce routing, budget and runaway-agent policies

What changed
Stacklet launched Token Custodian in early preview on October 6, extending AI cost management from reporting into real-time governance. It attributes tokens and agent runs to teams, projects, applications and cost centers, then applies policies by budget, model and environment—for example routing work to a lower-cost model, requesting an exception approval or pausing a runaway agent when step count, runtime or context growth exceeds limits. The product is designed to work across model providers, with general availability planned for Q4 2026.
