Supabase makes backends agent-ready with code-first schemas, Docker-free local stacks, Compute and app-specific MCP servers

What changed
Supabase announced a set of coding-agent-oriented backend capabilities at Select 2026 on October 2. Schemas and project configuration can now live in the repository, with pg-delta generating migrations from declarative SQL. Experimental local Supabase stacks can run as native processes without Docker and can be isolated per directory or worktree. Supabase Compute is in private alpha for long-running Linux services and agents next to the database, while apps can deploy their own MCP server so agents such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor operate as the signed-in user under existing Auth and RLS policies.
