AgentMail launches AgentID so AI agents can sign in with their own verified email identity over OIDC while apps retain human accountability

What changed
AgentMail launched AgentID on October 6 as an OpenID Connect sign-in provider for AI agents. An agent can use its own AgentMail inbox as a stable verified identity, while applications can identify both the agent and the accountable human owner behind it. AgentMail says the OIDC flow can integrate with stacks such as Clerk, Supabase, Auth0, Better Auth and Auth.js. AgentID addresses identity and authentication; it does not imply that applications should grant agents the same authorization as human users.
