OpenRouter launches Model Router Benchmarks with six-suite comparisons and a customizable quality-speed-cost Router Index

OpenRouter launched Model Router Benchmarks on October 2 to compare router options including Auto Router, Jev Router, Sakana Fugu and NVIDIA Switchyard against single-model baselines. The Router Index combines benchmark quality, task time and cost into a 0–10 score using default weights of 60%, 20% and 20%, and users can change those weights interactively. OpenRouter notes that the benchmarks represent general tasks rather than a user's own workload; listed routers can be swapped into applications through the OpenRouter API like models.
