Exa launches Places with structured data for 211 million locations across all Search API endpoints

What changed
Exa launched its Places data layer on October 5, adding roughly 211 million locations worldwide to its search index, including restaurants, museums, parks, shops and local businesses. Results can expose structured fields such as name, category, address, coordinates, opening hours, operating status, phone, website and ratings. Exa says the data is live across all Search API endpoints at no additional charge. The company also published its own places-search benchmark; those F1 comparisons are vendor-run and are not treated here as an independent product ranking.
