What changed

Minerva Humanoids emerged from stealth on October 6 with roughly $10 million in pre-seed funding led by General Catalyst, with Long Journey Ventures and Credo Ventures as co-leads. Its Roger humanoid uses VR teleoperation for fine manipulation while Minerva's control software handles balance, fall recovery and navigation. Target applications include offshore oil and gas, high-voltage energy work, explosive-ordnance disposal and hazardous-material response. The company says its first paid pilots begin this fall. Funding and pilot details come from the company and The Next Web's report.
