Google and Constellation sign a long-term nuclear deal enabling 890MW of new uprated capacity and deploying Gemini Enterprise for plant operations

What changed
Google and Constellation announced a long-term energy and technology collaboration on October 6. A 20-year PPA will finance upgrades at six operating nuclear plants and eleven units to add 890MW of new nuclear output to the PJM grid by 2032. A separate 15-year energy-supply agreement covers roughly 2,700MW of existing nuclear generation. The collaboration also deploys Google Cloud and Gemini Enterprise agentic workflows for uprate planning, construction, generation optimization and broader energy operations. The combined 3.59GW headline therefore includes existing supply; the genuinely new capacity is 890MW.
