Cohere launches North 2 with redesigned enterprise-agent orchestration, cross-session memory and granular cost governance

What changed

Cohere launched North 2 on October 5 as its largest North upgrade to date. It redesigns agent orchestration for more sophisticated multi-step workflows and adds cross-session memory, Skills, Libraries, application/document creation and shareable automations. North remains model-agnostic, supporting Cohere or bring-your-own models with cloud, private and air-gapped deployment options. North Admin adds user- and agent-level controls, request and token limits, quotas and organization-wide cost caps. This is an enterprise agent-platform release rather than a new foundation model.
