Cloudflare AI Search reaches GA with hybrid search, multimodal image retrieval, OCR and larger files

What changed

Cloudflare made AI Search generally available on October 1. New instances default to hybrid retrieval that combines semantic vector search with full-text matching, while the service adds multimodal embeddings, image queries, OCR for scanned PDFs and larger file limits. Workers AI embedding and reranking calls used by AI Search are included in the product’s pricing, with usage billing scheduled to begin November 1.
