Cohere launches Embed 5 with Pro and Fast models sharing one embedding space
What changed
Cohere released Embed 5 Pro and Embed 5 Fast on September 30. Both support text, image and fused inputs, more than 100 languages and a 128K context window, while sharing one embedding space so teams can index with Pro and query with Fast without rebuilding the index. The models are generally available through Cohere, Microsoft Foundry and Amazon SageMaker; benchmark claims are Cohere-reported.
